1) My media product sticks to most of the classic codes and conventions for a thriller film. Such as the way you see the end of the story at the beginning and throughout the film the audience try and piece the film together. It was my aim was to try and make people feel like they wanted to know who the killer is and what his or her reason is. It really plays with your emotions because you are not told who is in the right or the wrong you are completely left to your own methods of deciding. I personally think that I have stuck to the codes and conventions because it is obviously a good recipe of components for a film and that is why they are successful films. The only convention I think I have broken is that there is no real line between good and bad, innocent and guilty because all the characters involved are not perfect and in fact are badly behaved youths that are involved in a murder. I felt like this convention was one that needed to be broken to make my film unique from other thrillers but to still have that edge that most other thriller films have due to their well set codes and conventions.
