1) I think my primary audience will be British and American males between the age of 15 and 30. This is due to the fact that thrillers are primarily a male oriented genre as it is usually based around murders or crime which is stereotypically a more male orientated theme. The age I have decided is related to the rating of the film which is a 15 so it will obviously be aimed at older teenagers and young adults. Due to age of the characters within the film it should relate more to a younger audience and people may be able connect with the characters and have a better understanding than for example a 50 year old man whose generation is very different to that of the modern day. My audience will also enjoy watching thing such as thrillers and crime related films such as kidult hood and shank. Although these are not primarily thrillers they do follow some of the similar conventions to that of my film and therefore should make my film appealing to people of this age group, ethnicity and gender. It is aimed more at American and British audience because it is a film spoken in English so people who can’t speak English will not be interested in the film.
